Health&Welfare was founded by health professionals and wellness advocates who experienced firsthand the frustration of navigating conflicting nutrition advice and unsustainable diet culture. We created this platform to offer a better alternative: evidence-based guidance delivered with empathy and understanding.

Our Story

The journey to creating Health&Welfare began in 2016 when our founder, Dr. Amanda Roberts, a practicing nutritionist with fifteen years of clinical experience, grew increasingly concerned about the approaches she saw promoted in the wellness industry. She watched patient after patient struggle with yo-yo dieting, feelings of shame around food, and health advice that seemed designed to create anxiety rather than sustainable change.

Dr. Roberts assembled a team of like-minded professionals including dietitians, fitness experts, psychologists, and health educators who shared her vision for a different kind of wellness platform. Together, they developed Health&Welfare as a resource that would prioritize long-term health outcomes over quick fixes, treat people as whole beings rather than collections of symptoms, and approach every individual with the respect and compassion they deserve.

What started as a small blog has grown into a comprehensive wellness platform serving hundreds of thousands of individuals each year.
